The SparkFun Cryptographic Development Kit is a comprehensive set that provides you with everything necessary to delve into the world of cryptographic authentication. Using the ATECC508A Cryptographic Co-Processor Breakout, you can add a high level of security to your projects, making it an ideal choice for IoT nodes, edge devices, or embedded systems.This kit includes a pair of SparkFun ATECC508A Cryptographic Co-Processor Breakouts, designed for easy integration and strong authentication security. The breakout boards come with two Qwiic ports for a plug-and-play experience, and 2.54mm-spaced pins for breadboard use. The ATECC508A chip offers a variety of cryptographic processes, such as creating and securely storing unique asymmetric key pairs, verifying 64-byte digital signatures, creating a shared secret key on a public channel, and a standard hash-based challenge-response protocol with a SHA-256 algorithm, to name a few.Alongside the cryptographic co-processors, the kit also contains a pair of SparkFun RedBoard Artemis boards. The RedBoard Artemis is similar to an Arduino but includes BLE, one megabyte of flash, and operates at less than 1mA. It utilizes the powerful Artemis module from SparkFun in a user-friendly and familiar Uno footprint. The kit is rounded off with two reversible USB A to C cables, two 50mm flexible Qwiic cables, and a pack of 10 M/M jumper wires.Note: It's essential to read through the hookup guide thoroughly before using this board. The chip can only be configured before it is permanently locked. Therefore, it's recommended that users purchase multiple boards to explore various configurations and the advanced functions of the ATECC508A. This board is not designed for encrypting and decrypting data but can perform numerous cryptographic authentication processes. It's also recommended to use an Artemis microcontroller board with this product due to the buffer size required on the I2C bus.The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is a comprehensive ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables designed to simplify prototyping and reduce the likelihood of errors. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, saving PCB space and ensuring correct connections thanks to their polarized design.This kit includes:
* 2x SparkFun Cryptographic Co-Processor Breakout - ATECC508A (Qwiic) * 2x SparkFun RedBoard Artemis * 2x Reversible USB A to C Cable - 0.8m * 2x Flexible Qwiic Cable - 50mm * 1x Jumper Wires Premium 6" M/M - 20AWG (10 Pack)
