A loss of power can have serious consequences when it comes to analysis, diagnosis and laboratory equipment in medical technology, mobile measuring equipment, professional audio and video technology or equipment in the food industry. Particularly in the case of electrical equipment that is moved during operation, there is a risk of the mains cable being unintentionally pulled out of the device. Pull-out safety devices can prevent this.

V-Lock - the safe alternative

With the V-Lock system for IEC power inlets and outlets, SCHURTER offers an attractive and reliable alternative. With V-Lock, the power connector is equipped with a pin that interlocks with a notch in the inlet on the power cord and therefore reliably prevents the mains cable from being pulled out unintentionally. The advantage of this system is that it is not necessary to adapt and attach retaining brackets or clamping systems specific to a device connector.

The lock is released by pressing the disengaging lever. This lever is easily identified due to its bright yellow colour, a feature that also distinguishes this system from conventional mains plugs.
