The product is a 16-bit module for monitoring the electrical current with an I2C interface, which is suitable for various digital bus voltages such as 1.8 V, 3.3 V and 5.0 V. It measures the voltage using an external resistor and provides information about the current flow, the bus voltage and the power. The values can be read out directly in amperes for the current and in watts for the power.

The device monitors the bus voltage at the IN pin and can trigger an alarm in the event of over- or undercurrent as well as over- or undervoltage, which is visually signaled by a red LED. In addition, the module detects current flows at bus voltages in the range from 0 V to 48 V, regardless of the operating voltage.
