The Firecomms POF cutter is a simple, cost-effective, single-use tool for connecting standard 2.2-mm plastic optical fibres (POF). The tool is designed to enable a small number of high-quality POF connections in either a field installation or laboratory environment without the need for a subsequent polishing step. The tool is specifically designed to prepare POF connections for use with Firecomms' OptoLock® plug-less transceivers.
