LT1175IT#PBF is a negative micropower low dropout regulator, featuring a quiescent current of 45μA, which drops to 10μA in shutdown mode. Its new reference amplifier topology provides precision DC characteristics while maintaining good loop stability with an extremely wide range of output capacitors. The regulator achieves very low dropout voltage and high efficiency through a unique power transistor anti-saturation design. Additionally, several user-friendly features are incorporated into the LT1175. The SHDN pin can interface directly with either positive or negative logic levels, and the output can be forced to reverse voltage without damage or latchup. Unlike some earlier designs, the increase in quiescent current during a dropout condition is actively limited. Applications for this regulator include analogue systems, modems, instrumentation, A/D and D/A converters, interface drivers, and battery-powered systems.
