Raspberry Pi RMC20452T Radio Module 2

The Raspberry Pi Radio Module 2 RMC20452T is a compact, wireless module which provides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® connectivity. Designed for use with Raspberry Pi RP2040 and RP2350-series microcontrollers. With minimal external components (requiring only SPI, power, and reset signals), the Raspberry Pi Radio Module 2 is a cost efficient solution for adding wireless connectivity in mass-produced devices. It also provides GPIO expansion options for added flexibility.

Built around the Infineon CYW43439 radio chip, it supports 1x1 single-band 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Bluetooth 5.2, including both Bluetooth Classic and Low Energy modes. Its small form factor and castellated edge pads, reduce production costs make it ideal for streamlined integration into custom designs, while its onboard antenna simplifies layout and reduces external component requirements.

Engineered for seamless compatibility with the Raspberry Pi Pico W and Pico 2 W, the Radio Module 2 offers a low-pin-count gSPI host interface and three host-controlled GPIOs, enabling flexible I/O expansion with minimal overhead. The module supports data rates up to 96 Mbps over 20 MHz channels and Bluetooth ranges of up to 100 metres (Class 1), making it suitable for a wide range of wireless applications. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth use a shared antenna for enhanced design efficiency and its integrated internal PA, LNA and T/R switch provides excellent wireless performance.

With full modular certification means that the Radio Module 2 is ready for deployment in both consumer and industrial environments. It features integrated power amplifiers and low-noise amplifiers for reliable signal performance, and its low power consumption ensures energy-efficient operation.
