LED matrix backpacks provide a compact solution for controlling multiple LEDs without extensive wiring. These devices feature integrated driver chips that handle display multiplexing, delivering ultra-bright, consistent color through constant-current drivers. With simple I2C interfacing, the backpacks offer 1/16 step display dimming.The kit includes a fully tested LED backpack, a 4-digit 0.56" tall white seven-segment display, and a 4-pin header. Thanks to address-selection jumpers, you can connect multiple displays on a single I2C bus.Easy soldering is required to connect the matrix to the backpack.
