Compatible with any "Arduino shaped" board featuring SPI and UART, this shield supports seamless data logging through its MicroSD card slot.Enabling versatile projects like geocaching or location-based music, it integrates a high-sensitivity MTK3333 chipset capable of tracking 33 satellites on 99 channels. Its low power consumption—just 30 mA during navigation—complements its robust functionality. Switch to an external antenna effortlessly via the u.FL connector for enhanced performance.The shield is pre-assembled and tested, boasting a built-in patch antenna, power status LEDs, and a generous prototyping area. Designed specifically for the Arduino Uno, Duemilanove, Diecimila, and Leonardo, it excludes compatibility with the Mega, ADK, and Due models.Prepare for effortless integration with included 0.1" male headers. A bit of soldering is required, and we recommend stacking headers if you plan to add more components. Note: a MicroSD card and active antenna are not included.
