Adafruit EL wire starter pack - Aqua 2.5 meter (8.2 ft)

This project pack offers 2.5 meters (over 8 ft) of high-brightness, long-life EL wire in Aqua. It's the brightest and most visually appealing EL color available. The wire is pre-cut and soldered, perfectly optimized for the pocket driver.Key features include a pocket EL inverter compatible with 2 AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries (not included), and 2 inches each of heat shrink in both 1/8" and 1/4" sizes to protect the EL wire post-soldering. The set also contains 2 inches of copper tape for soldering and 2 inches of foam tape to reduce noise within the inverter.This pack has been used successfully to create inventive projects such as a TRON-themed bag. While soldering EL wire can be challenging, a detailed step-by-step tutorial is available. Basic tools required include wire strippers, a soldering iron and solder, copper tape, and heat shrink. A third-hand tool is particularly useful for precision soldering.Note that due to different manufacturing processes, color and brightness may vary between EL tape, EL wire, and EL panel products, resulting in slight color discrepancies among them.
