The zero-voltage switch with anti-parallel thyristors as switching elements in the load circuit is the most commonly used semiconductor relay for industrial applications due to its unlimited range of applications. It can be used for switching resistive, inductive and capacitive loads. The zero-voltage switch switches on when the sinusoidal voltage passes through zero and switches off again when the current passes through zero. The integrated varistor protects the semiconductor relay from voltage peaks from the mains. The LED indicator signals the status of the control input. All terminals in the control and load circuit are equipped with self-lifting clamping plates.
