Monolithic crystal filters (MCF) are used in numerous narrow band radio frequency systems, such as in intermediate frequency (IF) stages of Software Defined Radios (SDR) and in T&M applications. Their high-performance filter characteristics are realized by mechanical and electrical coupling of crystal resonators to obtain multi-pole filter responses. MCF devices have excellent quality factor (Q) and superior stopband rejection in combination with high temperature stability and outstanding aging characteristics.
