Thru-Hole Soldering Kits V2

Stock up on soldering kits! These have been designed for beginning solderers and are perfect first projects. They feature a fun and colorful circuit board with just a small number of large through-hole components that are easy to solder. When you're finished, you have a fun ornament! First-time solderers can take up to 1 hr to assemble our kits, experienced solderers will take 10 minutes.

All kits come with:

* Circuit Board

* All components to solder the kit incl LEDs, switches, battery holders, and others

* Batteries OR a solder-in USB power board - we are phasing out coin cell batteries and some kits may ship with the new board

* Stick-on pin (only for kits that still ship with batteries)

You will need to provide your own soldering iron, solder, and soldering materials. What's the difference between V1 & V2? V1:

* Switch has 5 pins which are closer together

* Large GND planes making soldering GND pins take longer (need more heat)

V2:

* Switch has 3 pins which are further apart and harder to bridge

* Uses traces instead of power planes, GND pins solder just as easily as other pins

* More consistent LED orientation markings on all boards

* Has a small hole at the top for hanging with a jump ring or coil-less safety pin

* May come with a solder-in USB power mini-board instead of a coin cell battery and holder
