1 kV high voltage probe (banana sockets) A probe is often an indispensable element for carrying out a test - it provides a galvanic connection between the meter and the object to be tested. In most cases, a probe with a voltage of 1 kV is sufficient. A 5 kV probe is required for HV tests (high voltage insulation tests). For continuity tests, a high current probe is used where the resistance of the lines is to be excluded from the results. A brush probe is used where measurements are to be performed on a moving component, e.g. a drill spindle.
