NH-D15S Noctua NH-D15S asym. Dual-Tower Cooler

The NH-D15S is an asymmetric single fan version of Noctua's award-winning flagship model NH-D15, designed for better RAM and PCIe compatibility. Thanks to its asymmetrical design, the NH-D15S does not protrude over the top PCIe slot on most ATX and µATX mainboards. At the same time, the retracted lower cooling fins and the single fan assembly ensure 100% compatibility with memory modules of up to 65mm height. If there is sufficient space, the cooler can be upgraded with a 120mm or round 140mm fan to achieve an even better cooling performance in double fan operation. The high-quality all-round package of the NH-D15S is complemented by the proven SecuFirm2™ professional assembly system, Noctua's renowned NT-H1 thermal grease. As a complete premium solution, it combines the efficiency of a dual-tower cooler with outstanding compatibility and flexible upgrade options.

NH-D15 version with excellent compatibility Compared to the award-winning NH-D15, the S version uses a slightly offset, asymmetrical design and a single instead of two NF-A15 fans. The NH-D15S not only offers top-of-the-line cooling performance, but also outstanding RAM and PCIe compatibility.

Excellent RAM compatibility Thanks to the retracted lower cooling fins, the NH-D15S offers a total of 65mm free space for high memory modules and is therefore compatible with most high-end models. Since the cooling fins on both sides of the radiator are retracted, memory compatibility is excellent not only on LGA115x and AMD, but also on LGA2011, where memory banks are located on both sides of the socket.

Asymmetric design for better PCIe compatibility Since on many current mainboards the top PCIe x16 slot is located very close to the CPU socket, it is often blocked by larger coolers. Due to its asymmetrical design, the heat sink of the NH-D15S is slightly offset toward the top edge of the motherboard in the direction of installation. For example, on most current µATX and ATX mainboards, the cooler does not protrude above the top PCIe x16 slot.*

NF-A15 140mm fans The NH-D15S is delivered with the NF-A15 140mm Premium fan designed according to Noctua's AAO standard. With advanced aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A15 has quickly established itself as one of the best 140mm fans on the market.

Optional Double Fan Assembly Due to the additional fan clips supplied, the NH-D15S can either be upgraded - for best performance - with a second round 140mm fan with 120mm mounting holes (e.g. NF-A15) or - for improved performance with simultaneous compatibility with memory modules of up to 45mm height - with a 120mm fan (e.g. NF-F12).

PWM support and low-noise adapter The NH-D15S supports PWM for convenient, fully automatic speed control via the mainboard. The NF-A15 140mm fan supports PWM. In addition, the included low-noise adapter can reduce the maximum speed from 1500 to 1200rpm to allow even quieter operation.

Excellent Component Cooling The large-format NF-A15 fan, which protrudes above the cooling fins at the bottom, not only contributes to the outstanding CPU cooling performance of the NH-D15S, but also generates a powerful airflow over board components or heat sinks close to the base and thus also enables excellent component cooling.

SecuFirm2™ mounting system NoctuasSecuFirm2™ mounting systems have developed into a synonym for quality, reliability and user-friendliness. The NH-D15S SecuFirm2™ system supports Intel LGA115x (LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156), LGA2011 (LGA2011-0, LGA2011-3) and AMD (AM3(+), AM2(+), FM1, FM2(+))) and offers perfect contact pressure and maximum mounting comfort on all current bases.

Compatibility with older and future sockets The NH-D15S complies with the open SecuFirm™ standard and can be made compatible with the optional NM-I3 mounting kit available free of charge from Noctua to the older sockets LGA1366 and LGA775. As far as technically possible, Noctua will also offer upgrade sets for future sockets.
