* oThe power dissipation of the resistor generates a temperature rise with respect to the ambient. The permissible dissipation is derated for temperatures above 40 °C, as shown in the derating diagram, in order to avoid overheating of the resistor. The heat dissipated from the resistor may affect adjacent components, hence proper clearance will be required in order to avoid overheating. The resistive wire is hermetically encapsulated.
