The Orbbec3D Astra S is an easy to implement 3D camera with an RGB/image resolution of 640 x 320 pixels and with up to 30FPS. The depth images are available in a resolution of 640 x 480Px at 30FPS. The resulting data can be used for a variety of applications via the USB port. Thus, these cameras are already used in the following areas, among others:

- Robotic / Autonomous Systems - quality control - 3D Scanner / Full Body Scanner & Handheld

This wide range of applications is not only made possible by excellent hardware, it also requires sophisticated software and driver packages, so the Orbbec Mini is among others ROS, OpenNI, Astra SDK and more compatible.
