BVOH-3021A035 BVOH Filament - natural - 1.75 mm - 350 g

BVOH is a filament that is similar to PVA and is 100% water-soluble. BVOH dissolves twice as fast in water as PVA. It is used exclusively as a support material that completely disappears following the printing process after being submerged in a water bath for some time. As a result, the filament can only be used with dual extruder FDM printers.

It is also possible to create support structures using the building material of a model. There are decisive disadvantages to using BVOH. Firstly, a great deal of effort is required to remove the material. Residues are formed on the sites of breakage, which then usually have to be reworked. The major disadvantage is that it is impossible to remove internal support structures from the model. The BVOH filament was developed to overcome these drawbacks.

Note: The BVOH is highly hygroscopic, which means that it draws moisture out of the air. It is therefore important to use the roll as quickly as possible or store it in a resealable vacuum bag along with silica gel.
