Fiber Checker Pro, VFL with 2.5mm & 1.25mm Interface Visual Fault Locator is used for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair in fiber optic lines. It is used to detect the continuity of signal transmission and cable breaks in fiber optic lines. The device works in single mode as well as in multi mode and in plastic fibre optic cables.

The visible range of the laser beam is about 7 km. The Hobbes Fiber Checker Pro II emits a bright red laser beam in a wave range of 650nm through the connected fiber optic cable either as a pulsed beam or as a continuous beam and thus helps to detect defective spots on the fiber optic cable or connectors. When testing for continuity, it is therefore easy to test fiber optic cables even in a bundle of fiber optic cables. Alternatively, a fiber optic section can be tested by bending a patch cable. Defective sections can be identified by the red laser light clearly emerging at the defective point.
