SmartFLEX Technology Due to the SmartFLEX soft PVC technology, these multimedia cables are highly flexible compared to conventional, rather stiff PVC cables. The special composition of the cable jacket allows very small bending radii and thus facilitates the installation or laying of the cables. In addition to greater flexibility, SmartFLEX series cables are also distinguished by their mechanical strength and long durability compared to standard cables, especially in applications where the cable moves (e.g. industrial applications or moving supports).

DisplayPort 1.4 - resolutions up to 8K / UHD-2 at 60Hz and 4K at 240Hz This high-quality DisplayPort cable supports resolutions up to 8K / UHD-2 at 60Hz and 4K at 240Hz (colour sampling 4:2:0 or DSC) with a bandwidth of max. 25.92 Gbps (via HDBR3) and thus meets all requirements of the DisplayPort 1.4 standard. In addition, 32 audio channels are supported at a sample rate / sampling rate of 1,536 kHz. This means that all known audio formats can be processed, including the new surround sound formats Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro 3D.

Display Stream Compression (DSC) 1.2 and Forward Error Correction (FEC) DSC technology is a visually lossless compression method that is used for resolutions above 5120x2880 at 60Hz and compresses the streamed video data at a ratio of 3:1. Thus DisplayPort 1.4 is able to display 8K / UHD-2 at 60 Hz with 10 Bit HDR (High Dynamic Range) or 12 Bit. The FEC ensures error-free transmission of the compressed DSC data.

High quality cable construction The conductors of this DisplayPort cable consist of 99.99% oxygen-free copper (CU). This high-quality cable construction allows for optimal signal transmission and higher breaking strength of the cable. To ensure perfect signal transmission, the DisplayPort connectors are equipped with gold-plated copper contacts and are housed in a robust aluminium casing. The locking protection / latching device attached to the connectors prevents the connectors from accidentally slipping out.
