The RPLIDAR A3M1 from SLAMTEC offers a sensationally large measuring range, with a high sampling rate coupled with a compact size. The A3M1 laser scanner produces 360° scans in a very short time. This LiDAR can be used for a variety of applications owing to the free-of-charge SLAMTEC SDK and the ROS interface.

In addition, the A3M1 is probably the only LiDAR in this field that offers both indoor and outdoor modes. The RPLIDAR operates at the maximum possible range and sampling rate when the Enhanced Mode is configured. However, when selecting Outdoor Mode, a large proportion of the computing power is used to calculate errors caused by incident daylight in order to determine reliable measured values.

Connectivity The RPLiDAR A3M1 comes, as standard, with a USB UART adapter, which enables the LiDAR to be connected to the computer, Intel NUC or Raspberry Pi, as well as supplying power to them. If a development board without a USB port is used, the USB UART adapter can be unplugged and the measurement data can be obtained from the UART interface
