Intelligently control lighting in the Smart Home and still use the existing buttons or switches for the usual operation – this is possible with the easy to retrofit switch actuator from Homematic IP.

The compact Homematic IP switch actuator with pushbutton input for the flush-mounted socket enables convenient switching of loads and also serves as a smart substitute for conventional shock switches. With the Homematic IP switch actuator for the flush-mounted socket, the lighting in the Smart Home can be intelligently controlled and operated with existing buttons or switches. Adjustable time profiles allow the lighting to be switched individually to suit the daily routines of the residents. Flexible combinations with other Homematic IP devices enable numerous further control and automation. For short-term loads of up to 15 minutes, consumers can be operated with a power consumption of up to 3680 W. For example, electric radiators can also be controlled with the smart switching actuator. The actuator is compact enough for flush-mounted as well as weather-resistant outdoor use in surface-mounted distribution boxes (e.g. ELS Spelsberg Abox 25). In addition to the powerful switching relay, the smart actuator also has an input for conventional 230 V pushbuttons. Thus, shock-current switches can be replaced without any problems and existing pushbuttons can be used again.

In addition to the control via conventional 230 V buttons or switches, the Homematic IP flush-mounted switch actuator can also be conveniently controlled with any other Homematic IP radio button or via Homematic IP remote control. In conjunction with the Homematic IP Access point or a partner solution, voice command operation (via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant) is also possible. The set-up can be done either via free smartphone app with free cloud service via the Homematic IP Access point or with the locally operated Homematic central CCU2 or CCU3, as well as with numerous partner solutions.
