M507B RCD test instrument, METRALINE RCD-CHECK

Measuring instrument which checks the qualities of a FI switch (RCD). In particular, it measures the contact voltage, the turn-off time and turn-off current of FI switches of A, AC, S types and recently also the mixed frequency type F.

Tests

Tests fault current protection device (RCD circuit breakers) - Measures the contact voltage without triggering the switch. Contact voltage is measured with reference to nominal fault current using 1/3 of the nominal fault current value. - Trip test with nominal fault current, measurement of the tripping time

Special tests of systems and/or RCD circuit breakers - Tests systems and/or RCD protection circuits with increasing fault current, displaying the trip current - Tests RCD circuit breakers IdeltaN = 10, 30, 100, 300, and 500 mA - Tests RCD circuit-breakers with 1/2 IdeltaN IdeltaN, 1, 2, 5 IdeltaN IdeltaN to 100 mA nominal current) - Tests RCD circuit breakers with half-waves (pulsating direct current) to determine the trip time and the trip current

Tests special RCD circuit breakers - Selective S, type AC (not allowed in Germany), Type A

Measures mains voltage and fault loop impedance
