It can be used for navigation in conjunction with a notebook and the corresponding navigation software. The MD6 universal connector allows optional USB or serial cables to be connected. The NL-8044P GNSS receiver can be mounted on a range of vehicle roofs (cars, trucks, buses etc.) using the mounting hardware supplied.
