EVALMASTERGAN5 Demonstration board for MASTERGAN5, 650 V GaN HEMTs

The EVALMASTERGAN5 board is an easy-to-use and quickly customizable tool to evaluate the characteristics of the MASTERGAN5 and quickly create new topologies without the need for a complete PCB design.

The EVALMASTERGAN5 offers an integrated programmable dead time generator with a single VCC supply (type. 6 V). An integrated linear voltage regulator provides a 3.3 V rail for supplying low-voltage logic circuits such as microcontrollers or FPGA. Some replacement footprints are also included in order to adapt the board to the final application. These adjustments include: Using a separate input signal or a single PWM signal, using an external bootstrap diode, separate power supply for VCC, PVCC or VBO, and also using a low-side shunt resistor for peak current topologies. All pins of the MASTERGAN are accessible.

The EVALMASTERGAN5 is a 56 x 70 mm wide FR-4 printed circuit board that produces an Rth(J-A) of 35 °C/W without forced ventilation.
