High speed for DSL and WLAN The FRITZ!Box 7490 brings the high-speed home network to every DSL connection - whether ADSL, ADSL2+ or VDSL - and covers all broadband and home network communication requirements with a wealth of extras. The FRITZ!Box 7490 already supports the standards for transmission rates of over 100 MBit/s, such as VDSL vectoring. The FRITZ!Box 7490 is compatible with all standard DSL connections, including Deutsche Telekom's IP-based connections.

WLAN AC ensures gigabit speeds of up to 1,300 MBit/s in the wireless home network. The FRITZ!Box 7490 supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz simultaneously in the performance-optimized 3 x 3 MIMO configuration. This leads to noticeably more range and higher transmission rates in the WLAN. State-of-the-art hardware architecture combined with fast Gigabit LAN makes the high-speed network perfect. The FRITZ!Box 7490 thus forms a powerful platform for networked applications such as IPTV, video-on-demand or media streaming. Stored movies, music and pictures are available throughout the network and can be distributed to playback devices via smartphone and FRITZ!App Media, for example.

Telephony options for every situation The integrated telecommunications system is suitable for all telephone connections: Analog, ISDN and the new IP-based connections from Deutsche Telekom as well as other providers based on DSL (Voice over IP). In addition to two analog and one ISDN connection, the FRITZ!Box 7490 has a DECT base station for up to six cordless telephones, such as the FRITZ!Fon handsets. IP telephones and smartphones also become fully-fledged telephones on the connection via WLAN. With an integrated answering machine, local and online telephone book and numerous convenient functions, telephony leaves nothing to be desired, even in a professional environment.

Ideal for the smart home The FRITZ!Box 7490 connects and controls numerous DECT devices in the networked home. In conjunction with FRITZ!DECT 200 (optional, see accessories), for example, electrical devices are switched individually - via app, automatically or via a cloud service and the power consumption of a consumer can be reliably measured. In combination with the 7490 and a DECT 200 (optional, see accessories) with a PV system (photovoltaic), power, consumption and switching status can be reported in real time or by e-mail in many cases (just one application example!).
