The SparkFun Qwiic BMA400 Micro Triple Axis Accelerometer Breakout is a compact, easy-to-use 3-axis acceleration sensor that is ideal for ultra-low-power applications. This sensor stands out for its ability to differentiate between critical situations and false signals, thus avoiding false alarms. It is particularly well-suited for wearable and smart home applications. The sensor integrates seamlessly into your I2C system via the Qwiic system, eliminating the need for soldering. The BMA400, developed by Bosch Sensortech©, provides a full scale acceleration range of ±2/±4/±8/±16g. It is notable for its extremely low current consumption of less than 14.5µA at its highest performance settings. The sensor is equipped with a comprehensive set of on-chip interrupts, including auto wakeup/low power, step counter, activity recognition, orientation detection, and tap/double tap.The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is a cohesive ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables designed to make prototyping faster and less prone to errors. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, which not only saves PCB space but also ensures you can’t connect it incorrectly. The Qwiic Micro is SparkFun's smallest I2C-supported board form factor to date. Measuring just 19.05mm by 7.62mm, the Qwiic Micro is ideal for projects and applications where space or weight is a concern. With just a single Qwiic connector, Micro boards are an excellent choice for use with the Qwiic Multiport or at the end of a Qwiic daisy chain. The SparkFun BMA400 Micro Triple Axis Accelerometer offers a range of features, including a supply voltage range of 1.72 - 3.6V, ultra-low current consumption, I2C interface (Qwiic-enabled), selectable acceleration ranges, on-chip interrupt features, and an output data rate range of 12.5 - 800Hz in Normal Mode and 25Hz in Low-Power Mode. For more information, please refer to the product's schematic, Eagle files, board dimensions, datasheet, hookup guide, Qwiic info page, BMA400 Arduino Library, and GitHub Hardware Repo.
