The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+ - 16GB is a small, powerful board that contains the essential components of a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. It features the BCM2837 processor and 1GB LPDDR2 RAM, along with 16GB of eMMC Flash memory. The module is designed to allow designers to incorporate the Raspberry Pi hardware and software stack into their own custom systems and form factors. It also offers additional IO interfaces beyond those available on the Raspberry Pi model A/B boards, providing more design options.The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+ is compactly integrated onto a 67.6mm × 31mm board that fits into a standard DDR2 SODIMM connector. It offers the full flexibility of the BCM2837 SoC, meaning that a greater number of GPIOs and interfaces are available than with a standard Raspberry Pi. This makes designing the Module into a custom system relatively straightforward, as all the complex components are located on the Module itself.The CM3+ is electrically and physically identical to the legacy CM3 products, with the exception of a slightly higher CPU z-height.
