PM6203

PM6203 is a multi-purpose Ethernet PHY supporting rates from 1 GbE to 400 GbE with a broad range of FEC regeneration and termination capabilities. It supports up to 800 Gbps capacity in retiming applications and up to 400G capacity in gearbox and 2:1 mux applications. The device features 32 SerDes, a hitless 2:1 mux and a flexible crosspoint.

Its SerDes can support backplanes and passive Direct Attach (DAC) cables at up to 53 Gbps and can also be configured to reduce power for VSR applications. The hitless 2:1 mux enables high availability architectures and the device latency is deterministic to enable Class C/D PTP at the system level.

The PM6203 device is pin compatible with the META-DX2 Family 32 SerDes variants, enabling PM6203 designs to easily support higher rates, add support for Fibre Channel and OTN protocols, encryption, port aggregation, or MAC layer services such as PTP, all within a single META-DX2 Software Development Kit (SDK).
