AV series impeller-driven position sensors with integrated magnets are operated with a ferromagnetic vane that passes through the gap between the Hall sensor and the magnet, so that the magnetic flux is derived from the sensor in a position-dependent manner. AV sensors can be used as limit switches operated with a single large vane. Other possible applications: as tachometer sensors in conjunction with gears or as synchronization elements together with drivers or sectors.
