The GSP-8000 series, the brand new general spectrum analysers from GW Instek, offers three frequency ranges - 8.0 GHz, 3.8 GHz and 1.8 GHz. The series is suitable for educational research, R&D verification and the testing requirements of high-frequency products during the production and development phases. The series offers a resolution bandwidth (RBW) of 1 Hz ~ 1 MHz, a video bandwidth (VBW) of 10 Hz - 3 MHz, a phase noise of -104 dBc/Hz, a preamplifier of 20 dB and the lowest basic noise of -160 dBm/Hz (typical).

In terms of measurement applications, the GSP-8000 has an integrated time-spec function, an AM/FM signal demodulation function, a channel test function (channel power measurement), a pass-fail function etc.The time spec function enables the correlation between power, frequency and time to be observed and displayed simultaneously. The ACPR/OCBW/CHPW tests can be used to check adjacent channels, the ratio of power to occupied bandwidth and channel performance. The pass-fail function can be used to determine whether the signal is within the set range.
