Spin two DC motors or step one bi-polar or uni-polar stepper with up to 1.2A per channel using the DRV8833. This motor driver chip is an efficient alternative to the TB6612 driver. It features 2 full H-bridges and is ideal for low voltage applications, operating from 2.7V to 10.8V motor power.Equipped with built-in current limiting capabilities, we've set it up for 1A current limiting to avoid exceeding 2A per chip. The current limiting can be disabled or adjusted to your needs. This compact solution comes with a polarity protection FET on the motor voltage input, safeguarding your setup.Each breakout chip includes two full H-bridges, providing the ability to drive two DC motors bi-directionally or one stepper motor, with a handling capacity for up to 1.2A current. This driver boasts internal kick-back diodes to protect against inductive surges, ensuring durability for your project.With two digital inputs per H-bridge, you can easily PWM one of the inputs to control motor speed. It runs smoothly at 2.7V-10.8V logic/motor power, compatible with setups using 9V motors and 3.3V logic without voltage concerns. For higher voltage requirements, consider the TB6612 or for more substantial voltage and current needs, the DRV8871 is recommended.Each unit comes as an assembled and tested breakout with a small strip of header. Light soldering is necessary to attach the header onto the breakout PCB. Note that the terminal block may be blue or black. Arduino, motors, and power supply are not included.
